BPEL uses Web services standards to describe business process activities as Web services, defining how they can be composed to accomplish specific tasks. Intalio provides official support for BPEL and BPM projects, while its open source community provides unofficial support. Training classes exist for the notation standard (online), as well as advanced classes for BPEL, Intalio|BPMS Server, and Apache ODE usage. Intalio|BPMS Server

Intalio|BPMS is a complete business process management suite that uses the Apache Foundation's excellent Orchestration Director Engine (a.k.a. ODE) to process BPEL passed onto it.

BPMN is used to model processes in Intalio|BPMS Designer, which you can deploy to Intalio|BPMS Server to generate a model-driven application.

Ease of use was in mind when writing Intalio|BPMS, and therefore the model to application step has been simplified to a single click, "Deploy".

Apache ODE (Orchestration Director Engine) executes business processes written following the WS-BPEL standard. It talks to web services, sending and receiving messages, handling data manipulation and error recovery as described by your process definition. It supports both long and short living process executions to orchestrate all the services that are part of your application.
