CTO Tuesdays, 6/22: Debunking the Myth Between BPMN and BPEL

Join Active Endpoints CTO Michael Rowley tomorrow, June 22, for his weekly technical talk CTO Tuesdays at 12pm EDT / 9am PDT / 16:00 UTC. Register at http://www.activevos.com/ctot. This week's topic is "Debunking the Myth Between BPMN and BPEL."

In this episode of CTO Tuesdays, the BPMS podcast, Rowley will address the fact that some people believe that there is a conflict between using BPMN and BPEL for business processes. He will show how in the latest version (2.0) of the BPMN standard, substantial work has been done to bring the two into alignment and how, according to the latest public draft of the standard, “complete conformance” for BPMN actually requires that it be executable using BPEL.

Technologies discussed on CTO Tuesdays cover a wide variety of BPM technologies, including BPMN 2.0, SOA, web services, process modeling tools, BPEL, execution engines, AJAX-based forms development and human task integration.
