CTO Tuesdays, 6/15: BPMSs and disaster recovery

Join Active Endpoints CTO Michael Rowley tomorrow, June 15, for his weekly technical talk CTO Tuesdays at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT / 17:00 UTC. Register at http://www.activevos.com/ctot. This week's topic is "BPMSs and disaster recovery." Please note the new time for the June 15 session: 1pm EDT / 10am PDT / 17:00 UTC.

Running a BPMS in a cluster of machines can help a system continue to operate even when a single machine goes down, but what can you do if an entire data center goes offline? In this talk, Rowley will describe a deployment option where the BPMS runs in multiple geographically distributed clusters so that the loss of a data center does not prevent access to the BPMS. He will describe how such a configuration can also be used to handle increased loads when all sites are online.

Technologies discussed on "CTO Tuesdays" cover a wide variety of BPM technologies, including BPMN 2.0, process modeling tools, BPEL, execution engines, AJAX-based forms development and human task integration.
