CTO Tuesdays, 1/25: ESBs and BPMSs

Please join Active Endpoints CTO, Michael Rowley, on Tuesday, January 25 at 12pm ET / 17:00 UTC. The topic is ESBs and BPMSs. Register: www.activevos.com/ctot.

If you have a service-oriented BPMS, do you also need an ESB? Conversely, is an ESB completely unnecessary in this situation? The reality is in between these two extremes. In this week's episode, Rowley will compare and contrast scenarios for using ESBs and BPMSs. He will explore situations where BPMS functionality may be all that is needed and where it is appropriate to use an ESB in addition to a BPMS.

Technologies discussed on CTO Tuesdays cover a wide variety of BPM technologies, including BPMN 2.0, SOA, web services, process modeling tools, BPEL, execution engines, AJAX-based forms development and human task integration.
