CTO Tuesdays, 11/9: Creating Test Suites for Business Processes

Join Active Endpoints CTO Michael Rowley tomorrow, November 9, for his weekly technical talk CTO Tuesdays at 12pm EST / 9am PST / 17:00 UTC. Register at http://www.activevos.com/ctot. This week's topic is "Creating Test Suites for Business Processes."

In this episode of CTO Tuesdays, Michael Rowley will describe how to ensure that your critical business processes continue to work the way that you expect them to, even as those processes change over time to adapt to new business priorities. An executable business process is a form of code, and like all good code, it should have tests that guarantee it works as expected the first time, and suites of tests that ensure that changes to the process do not unintentionally break working aspects of the business process. This talk will describe both black box and white box testing approaches that can be used on business processes.

Technologies discussed on CTO Tuesdays cover a wide variety of BPM technologies, including BPMN 2.0, SOA, web services, process modeling tools, BPEL, execution engines, AJAX-based forms development and human task integration.
